Cupboard door knob ~ Painted Toadstools

I found this collection of cupboard door knobs at an op-shop a while ago. First thing I thought, was toadstools! And snapped them up.
I painted a few for gifts then, and finished the rest of them yesterday.
I'll be on the hunt for more of these in the future... I think they turned out so well!

My boys of course accompanied me,
with painting their own projects.

So delightfully sweet.

  3. As usual Aleta, you've come up with a winner!! And like Jo and star said - I hadn't thought of it before either although I have seen bigger ones made out of wooden salad bowls on small logs. I think it was on 'Twig and Toadstool' blog if you are interested.
    Thanks for sharing another goodie!!

  4. They look great, will you continue to use them as handles or knobs, I can see them looking fabulous on a set of drawers. Thank you so much for sharing. What a beautiful space you have created my very first visit here I will follow on my way out so I know my path back here. Perhaps you will find the time to come visit me soon and do the same. I look forward to engaging more throughout the year and beyond. Take care. Cheers SpecialK XoXo

  5. Such a special comment, Special K!
And thank you for the idea. They really would make great handles. That idea completely slipped by me.
I'll drop by your way, real soon ღ

  6. They look so cute! Good idea picking them up at an op-shop. I've been buying mine at the hardware store and it is surprising how much they like to charge for little handles!

By the way, we walked to the post office this morning and your parcel is on its way to you :-)

    1. Very exciting Kelly! Can't wait.
I know what you mean about the hardware stores. After my 'bargain score' I sent My Man to buy more on one of HIS shopping trips and he came back saying 'I think you need to keep an eye out on more opshop visits instead!'. LOL
